Terms of use
These terms cover the Good to Fly app for iPhone and Apple Watch and its Pro subscription, made by Good Enough Labs ("we"). They are the app's license agreement on the App Store, and by using the app you agree to them.
A planning tool, not permission to fly
Good to Fly estimates the conditions at your spot and compares them with your drone's limits. Its answer is guidance for planning, not authorization. It doesn't replace LAANC, DroneZone or any other approval, the rules where you fly, the drone maker's limits, or what you see on site.
You are the pilot in command. Before and during every flight, it's on you to check the rules and restrictions that apply, get any approval you need, and decide whether it's safe to fly.
Forecasts and restrictions can be wrong
Forecasts come from weather models (Open-Meteo, NOAA), and the wind at your height is estimated from them. Conditions on site can differ, change quickly, or be missed entirely. Restriction maps come from public sources such as the FAA and the National Park Service, cover only some places, and can be incomplete or out of date. Temporary restrictions can appear with little notice. Alerts and Live Activities depend on Apple's push service and may arrive late or not at all.
Good to Fly Pro
Pro is sold by Apple through the App Store, as a yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial, a monthly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel them in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- The free trial is once per Apple Account. Canceling during it means you're never charged.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
We may change what Pro includes or its price. A price change for an active subscription follows Apple's rules, including notice before it applies to you.
Fair use
Use the app for your own flying. Don't copy, resell or scrape its data or our server, get around Pro, or interfere with the service.
Ownership
The app, its design and its content belong to Good Enough Labs. Weather and map data belong to their providers.
No warranty and limits on liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will be accurate, complete or always available, and we aren't liable for crashes, damage, injury, fines or other losses from a flight or a decision made with it. If we are found liable anyway, our liability is limited to what you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived by contract.
The App Store
These terms are between you and Good Enough Labs, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
- You get a non-transferable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as the App Store's Usage Rules allow, including through Family Sharing.
- We alone provide maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to support the app.
- If the app fails to conform to a warranty that applies, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the price you paid for it. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app, and any other claim, loss or cost from such a failure is ours.
- We, not Apple, handle any claim about the app, including product liability, failure to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- If someone claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- You confirm that you aren't in a country under a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and that you aren't on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must follow the terms of any third-party service you use with the app, such as your wireless data provider.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, can enforce them against you.
Governing law
If you live in the United Kingdom, these terms are governed by the laws of the part of the UK where you live, and you can bring claims in its courts. Everywhere else, they are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and claims go to the state and federal courts in California. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods doesn't apply.
Ending
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it and canceling Pro. We may stop offering the app or a feature; if we do, Pro you already paid for stays covered by Apple's refund policies.
Changes and contact
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date, and using the app afterwards means you accept it. Questions, complaints or claims: Good Enough Labs, hi@goodenoughlabs.com.
